Increased project maturity

[ our strategic services]

We want every project, change, and initiative to be successful. Every time. In order to practice what we preach, we actively work to increase project maturity in leadership as well as in change- and project management throughout an organization.

How to estimate project maturity

When working with increasing an organization’s project maturity and growth, our goal is to equip the organization with the ability to

  • implement adjustments, changes and projects that are always successful and sustainable,
  • handle the complexity that comes along with big scale organizations and initiatives,
  • put theory into practice organically, culturally, and individually.

It is all about culture, systematics and continuity: to work in a wise and goal oriented way, without depleting either financial, physical or human resources. Thus, working in a way where both the organization and the employees can thrive. Together we dive into the culture and ways of working in the organization. By evaluating how the organization masters their working methods, processes and tools we are able to point out valuable improvements on the road to increased project maturity. And we’re of course able to support your organization along this journey.

The importance of project maturity management

Many organizations have some employees with a high competence within project work, along with certain working methods in specific areas that work really well. However, in comparison to an organization where project maturity is high, the competence within project work is well distributed among employees along with a high minimum level. Everyone in the organization is well equipped to execute their roles within projects, regardless of whether they are the project manager or a steering group member. Everyone is included.

We strive for establishing leadership through project maturity, that makes use of the collective intelligence in the organization to make the best possible decisions. In doing so, we do not let hierarchies and organizational limits stop us from adding useful knowledge to help us make wiser choices. It is also about honesty and transparency – to take responsibility for the work we do together and for the results we produce.

We believe that leadership and its progress is one of the most important components in achieving a society and organizations that are better for the future. It is through project maturity management along with a bit of courage that we dare to be innovative and to evolve. Courage also gives us the power to question established truths if they don’t give us the results we aim for.

Increasing project maturity

Increasing project maturity in an organization often also includes program and portfolio work, which becomes increasingly important the bigger and more project-intensive the organization is. At times, this is also where the major benefits can be found, e.g. by becoming good at choosing the right projects to start. Or knowing how many projects you can handle in parallel, or continuously challenging and estimating the business value of ongoing projects in order to make smart priorities.

These ways of working are expedient and put into practice, and therefore repeated in every project and part of the organization. In addition, constant learning and continuous progress achieve a vital organization that adapts to new conditions.
