A Self-Governing Organisation
At Arkatay, we believe that true success is built from within. That’s why we’ve created an organisational model founded on self-governance, clear frameworks, and shared responsibility. Our structure is designed to unlock engagement, foster learning, and create sustainable success – for our clients and for ourselves.
Our Principles of Self-Governance
For us, self-governance is not just about freedom – it’s also about responsibility: for one another, for our clients, and for our collective progress. Our self-organising structure enables us to:
Act Quickly & Effectively
We adapt swiftly to new needs and changes in our surroundings.
Harness Engagement
Everyone has the mandate to influence and contribute to our development.
Build Partnerships
We collaborate with partners who share our values and vision.
No managers – but plenty of leadership
We work in self-governing teams with the freedom to make decisions within their areas of responsibility. This makes us agile, accountable, and continuously evolving. At the same time, we stay united through shared principles and processes that ensure we always act in line with our purpose, our values, and our promise to our clients.
How We Organise Ourselves
Self-Governing Teams
Every Arkatay colleague belongs to a team – our organisational “home.” Each team consists of 7–12 people with diverse skills and assignments. The teams take full responsibility for their own well-being, results, and development.
Circles
Circles are forums where we come together around shared topics, client areas, or initiatives. A circle can be well-defined, such as “Sales” or “Marketing,” or more temporary, created to address a specific task or need.
Roles and Responsibilities
When hierarchies are absent, clarity becomes essential. That’s why we work with well-defined roles that are adjusted as needed. The three main types are:
- General Roles: shared by many, such as “Arkatayare” or “Team Member.”
- Team Roles: functions within the teams, such as “Team Facilitator” or “Team Sales Lead.”
- Central Roles: responsible for company-wide areas such as “Finance,” “Sales,” “Marketing,” and “Recruitment.”
Roles are not seen as static positions, but as assignments that evolve in line with our needs.
What We Strive to Achieve
We are building an Arkatay that grows sustainably – where culture, wisdom, responsibility, and efficiency form the foundation of everything we do.
Grow with Well-Being
We aim to expand while preserving our culture and values.
Decisions Where the Wisdom Is
Everyone should be able to make well-informed decisions at any time.
A Culture of Accountability
We create impact together – and take shared responsibility for developing Arkatay.
Resource Efficiency
We organise work where it creates the greatest impact and continuously adapt to evolving needs.
When Purpose Meets Self-Governance
Our self-governance is closely connected to our purpose: to create sustainable success in projects and change. It gives us both stability and movement, structure and freedom. Within clear boundaries, every individual, team, and circle has the mandate to act independently. As long as we stay true to our shared principles, anything is possible – and that’s what makes Arkatay unique.
We combine a shared commitment to our purpose with far-reaching self-governance. The result is an organisation that unleashes creativity, builds trust, and creates real impact – together.
